Buyer Direct Materials - Raw Materials and Packaging (2-year contract)

[ Your tasks and responsibilities ]

- Create purchase orders based upon global frame contracts and in dialog with local stakeholders
- Negotiate local frame contracts on behalf of Integrated Business Partnering as delegated
- Responsible for implementation of global category strategy at local level
- Educate stakeholders, local budget owners about procurement compliance and procurement directive
- Provide country-specific market intelligence to mitigate supply risk, gain competitive advantage and make better business decisions
- Channel demand through the terms and conditions of company's preferred and approved suppliers or catalogues
- Efficiently execute operational day-to-day purchasing (order processing) services for materials and services
- Manages supply agreements & contracts. Monitors and controls contractual agreements and clauses over entire lifecycle and minimizes exposure to contractual risks in external relationships through usage of terms and conditions aligned with legal function
- Sustainable application of tool utilization along the Source-2-Pay process
- Takes care of supply issues and delay
- Maintain vendor master data, terms and conditions in the ERP system based on input from integrated business partnering

** In the course of Bayer’s Animal Health separation, this position will be transferred to Elanco.

[ Qualifications / Requirement ]

- University degree (or Master) in natural science, business administration or supply chain
- Working experience in the procurement (2 to 5 years preferred)
- Sound knowledge of business practices, financial tools and procurement policies and procedures
- Solid understanding of transactional purchasing tools and methods
- Strong negotiating, communication, convincing and problem solving skills
- Very good service orientation as well as good understanding of the customer’s requirements
- Knowledge in SAP and SAP BW (preferred)
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken
