MSL Radiology



Bayer Radiology 의학팀에서는 컴퓨터 단층촬영(CT), X-Ray 및 자기공명영상(MRI)을 위한 조영제와 이를 정확하게 사용할 수 있도록 하는 디바이스(device), 효율적이고 최적화된 환자치료를 지원하는 인포메틱 솔루션(informatics solution) 및 전문 교육 프로그램등에 대한 의학업무 진행되고 있습니다. 또한, 연구개발과 인공지능(AI)의 활용에 더 많은 혁신을 주도하고 있어 영상의학전문가가 진단부터 치료까지 환자에게 명확한 방향과 답을 제시할 수 있도록 돕고 있습니다.

The MSL shall act as a scientific expert between Bayer and the medical community through the dissemination and education of scientific data and material. The MSL establishes long-term scientific/strategic relationships with key, influential physicians/scientists/stakeholders and with related major medical associations and academic centers of excellence. These relationships will ensure that Thought Leaders (TLs) and organizations have access to relevant scientific information and that pertinent information is shared with the medical community. The MSL uses his/her experience and knowledge interacting with key external medical and pharmacy professionals through the process of education via one-on-one interaction; small group discussion and symposia lecture presentations including interactions associated with sponsored medical education programs and research protocols. The MSL facilitates TL involvement in national, regional and local educational forums including advisory boards, symposia and Continuing Medical Education (CMEs).
The MSL also serves as an important partner to internal stakeholders within Bayer by communicating relevant information from Thought Leaders (TLs) to key cross-functional partners.



[Tasks and Responsibilities]
1. Exchange and dissemination of scientific, educational, and research related information: The MSL plans, partners and engages with Thought Leaders (TLs) as a subject matter expert and colleague both proactively and reactively via various innovative TL engagements tactics and formats to provide dissemination, clarification and education of scientific data, study protocols, meeting abstracts, and professional literature (Both proactive discussions on-label, and reactive discussions for unsolicited off-label questions in alignment with local regulations).
2. TL Identification / profiling / segmentation and strategy and engagement planning: In alignment with medical strategy as stipulated in the integrated brand plan, the MSL contributes to internal understanding of specific TL interests, expertise and impact in the medical community at large.
3. Participation at / networking in Congresses and Conventions: The MSL uses congresses and conventions to network with TLs, establish new contacts, and gather competitive intelligence.
4. Coordination of Scientific Education Activities and Advisory Boards: The MSL plans and organizes scientific training, education events / sessions and advisory boards with TLs within their specific therapeutic area.
5. Preparing reports and tracking activities: The MSL submits timely reports of field interactions and events, as well as tracks activities against agreed upon scorecard objectives, MSL KPI and country medical activity plan.
6. Collecting Investigator Initiated Research (IIR) ideas and facilitating IIR set-up: The MSL acts as a point of contact for investigators, facilitating the interface with investigators and appropriate  personnel responsible for approval, and communication of study progress and completion
7. Interactions with Medical Societies: The MSL answers medical / scientific queries of Medical Societies with regards to products.
1. Market Access: The MSL provides assistance to Medical Advisors and Market Access and supports presentations of new information to hospital formularies and reimbursement decisions makers as required.
2. Internal scientific support: The MSL serves as internal scientific expert by selective support to training activities in addition to answering scientific / medical queries by the Sales Representatives (in conjunction with / as a supporting element to Medical Advisors
3. Clinical Research Support: The MSL provides additional support (as required) to support local clinical operations personnel / Medical Advisors with respect to strategic feasibility in company sponsored clinical development studies as well as facilitation of medical affairs interventional and observation studies. 
4. External scientific support, training and education: The MSL provides additional external scientific support, training & education not covered by other primary activities.


[Qualifications / Requirement]
1. Bachelor’s degree in natural sciences, digital sciences, pharmacology or medicine. Advanced degree in science -related field eg. Master degree, PharmD, PhD preferred.
2. 2 years of experience for MSL  in the pharmaceutical and/or medical device and/or digital healthcare industry as an MSL preferred or experience in drug information, clinical research and development, or other clinical relevant activities. 
3. Basic knowledge of therapeutic area products and digital science/healthcare area 
4. Participated in a project from inception to conclusion
5. Understanding of clinical trial design and rationale
6. Ability to work in a team environment 
7. Ability to build productive work-relationships both internally and externally
8. Ability to work independently and a demonstrated self-starter
9. Basic problem-solving skills
10. Excellent Korean/English presentation and written and verbal communication skills

* Candidates with more than 3 years of proven experience as a MSL, and/or more than 5 years of proven experience as a Medical/clinical related position in Radiology related area, and/or has led a small medical team or managed a team as a project leader may be considered for recruitment as a Senior MSL or may be included in those eligible for promotion to Senior position through internal procedures after joining the team. The following Primary activities are added to the senior position.
1. Responsible as Medical Content Creator in charge of product modular content strategy 
2. Responsible as Campaign/project Owner for a specific TL specialty or product indication
3. Responsible and Accountable for leading implementation of projects, symposia and important meetings to engage TLs, e.g. by determining the market strategy, identifying key TLs to invite and reviewing content for presentation
4. Responsible and Accountable as MSL mentor and peer coach, including for another country or across the region 
5. Responsible as subject matter expert leading Radiology/product cross-functional projects
