Bayer CropScience Korea's Daejeon plant not only produces finished crop protection products for domestic market of Korea, but also serves as a production hub in the Asia Pacific region.

POSITION:   

Production Supervisor of Bayer CropScience Korea is responsible to plan, direct and coordinate manufacturing activities in the production unit to produce crop protection products. 

He/She will ensure high quality products and solutions at competitive costs by adherence to safety and other legal regulations. 

The role will lead the production unit members under Production team and acts as the deputy manager of the production team manager. 

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

[Supervision of Manufacturing activities]

- Ensure proper functioning of facilities and the attainment of production goals set out by plant management

- Plan, implement and improve production processes 

- Responsibility for plant operations, incl. QHSE requirements, personnel 

- Continuous check of process design and operation to improve yield and throughput 

- Create and improve operations instructions/ manuals (SOPs and manufacturing instruction)

- Process & plant safety, employee health and safety, quality and plant emergency operations 

- External and Internal regulatory compliance (DG, toxic, etc)

- Safe, cost-effective, timely and in spec. production and Standard Operating Procedure 

- Implementation of optimal operating and control strategy 

- Problem-solving through fundamentally sound technical solutions (3rd level troubleshooting)

[Technical expertise]  

- Create concepts for technical training (incl. training material)

- Ensure training on production processes and optimizations

- Management of Projects, e.g. cost saving, performance improvement, investments, integrations.

- Project support as process expert 

- Solve production disturbances 

- Technical support of shifts in respective units 

- Safe technical function of production facilities in cooperation with engineering / technology/quality

[People Management] 

- Personnel planning, staffing, organization and supervision (incl. training and supervision) 

- Internal communication and information on changes in production. 

- Personnel administrative tasks and disciplinary measures 

- Provide orientation for new hires

[Qualifications / Requirement]

[Qualification]

- More than 5 years of working experiences in production or site operations or engineering of international companies, preferably in Crop protection industry/Pharmaceutical/Chemical industry

- Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering, process engineering, industrial engineering or relevant major

- Project management experiences

- Fluent in English and Korean
